My 92' 250x won't run. If you take the air boot off and spray ether in there it will fire but not run. Fuel line is OK and has spark, what could this be?

Check you timming,see if the motor's in time..If in time, Have you cleaned the carb??

sm00th026 gave you some good advice.

does it have compression? have you tried to pull start it?

first thing I would check is valve gap, timing and carb.

If I had to guess I'd say it's gonna be one of those three.

On the valves, make sure they are set at .004 inch. You can check the timing at the same time.

on the carb, make sure the needle didn't drop. It's a very common problem.

Clean the carb. If it will fire with starting fluid then your not getting any gas.

eh, it was probably the carb but I sold it and picked up a 2001 mojave anyway. Didn't feel like dealing with an old quad.

I've seen one bad *** mojave it was smoking piped 400ex's.

are you sure it was just piped? doesn't sound right. Anyway I got one for $900 with everything in my sig. and another set of front and back itp holeshots w/ rims.

The 400ex's were just piped. The mojave had a big bore, and set up for MX all out.

very believable. The last 300ex we built for the nationals would pull a lot of 450s in the short shoot. We had nothing for them after about 50 yards but we held our own.

The Mojave is a water cooled motor and it does take a lot of $ to build one to run that fast but it is very do able.

Yea these were short drags. Prolly wouldn't outrun in topend.
