^Are these worth it? I did a search in the 400ex and 400x section of the forum, but didn't find as much info as I wanted. I'm new to the forum and have a pale of parts for my new 400ex I picked up about 3 weeks ago. I'll make a intro thread later, but I'm curious about these, or other options available.

Thanks in advance,MR

^I'm thinking about pick this up. Is a brake master cylinder upgrade needed with this mod?

i have the C5 as well.. definitely a good buy. i just wish it had a dust cover on it and on the fly adjustment. its still a quality piece.

The dust cover is a important piece. Otherwise you will be replacing or cleaning the cable more.

^I think the kit I'm looking at comes with a dust cover. What about the brake master cylinder? Is an upgrade needed?

I would recommend looking for the holiday pro pack like this:

Well worth the money as it comes with both dust boots, a rotator clamp as well as quick adjust on the clutch cable.

LOVE mine

Got an MSR AOF clutch perch/lever. I love it, on the fly adjustable, very smooth and of course dust cover.

I also replaced the brake lever with an MSR lever with some rubber padding on the outside.

Took some nasty spills and bent the brake lever once but I never busted the clutch lever ever.

I think I paid less than 60 bucks for everything.
