I can't bleed my brakes HELP

I can't bleed my front brakes. I put the brake fluid in the brake lever and will not go into the lines. I took the line off the brake lever and pumped the brake lever and still no fluid would come out of the lever. I used brake cleaner inside of the lever to clean it and still nothing. Plus I did it inside wheres its warm. I can't see any thing insde of the lever thats stop fluid from coming out. Is there thing I'm missing here.

Suck the fluid down to each caliper..use a pump or your mouth..but that's what it takes..been ther done that...:cool:

Or pump it for 4 days and that might do it....:eek:

when i first did mine it wouldn't go after a while of pumping the brake. I went and did something else after getting sick of that. Came back 1/2 hour later and the res was empty. Then after that it was just a matter of filling res and getting air out of line.

your local auto store should sell a simple hand operated vacuum pump. The air in the lines will keep the fluid from bleeding through....even when you pump the brake lever.

Go to an auto parts store, and buy one of those Mity Vac brake bleeders. $24.99


I used to do it the old way. After I bought one of those, I laughed at the old way.

You don't have to have a pump...if you can swallow your pride for 10 minutes..you can suck the fluid down to the caliper..just put a bleeder hose on it and walla..your ready ta rock and roll..

if you dont want to swallow brake fluid(rico that explains alot now that i know that u swallow, lol)just crack the bleeders for a few hours and let it gravity bleed, go back every once and i while and make sure your master doesn go dry.

Well if your smarter than the average bear,,you use a clear bleeder hose so you don't get a mouth full..;)

I guess I'm going to have to suck it up. The only pump there have is 55 dollars.
