build advise

ok so i have a 2005 400ex. so far i have maier plastics and uni airfilter. i am getting the hmf comp s/o. i was thinking of a 416 or 440 but what is better? and i am gonna get a stage 2 hotcams. what else will help me keep up with my 4 older brothers 450r's

416, 11:1 or 10:1 piston, slip on or full exhaust, hotcam stage 2.

That will give you plenty of power. A 440 is nice but alot of people have heat issues with them because the EX is air cooled and not water cooled and the 440 creates alot of heat b/c you bore the cylinder so much.

For the record I have a 416, 11:1, hotcam stage 2 and a few other misc stuff and I can run with the 450s all day. In a race we are quite close.
