Mini Quad Racing Calhoun Sx and Bremen tracks

We moved up to North GA from Dade City FL were Mini Quad racing is still big. We have been running the Calhoun and Bremen series and we are the only mini quads here every week.
Currently we have 2 quads runnning and another next week. So we will have 3 quads running every race every week. I would like to get some more mini quads to run at these tracks. The track is very mini quad friendly Practice is on Tues and Thurs and race on Sat.

The Dade City folks wont be able to make it for the sundays race. My son cased it on a double last week and broke his frame which then broke the rear left ear off his engine case on the last lap. we had to push it across the finish line. So the extra money I did have to run on sunday went for new cases and top end. We will be running at Breman on SAT if anyone wants to come out

I am disappointed but I am sure everyone of the mini quad families understands that situation all to well. Hope your son was OK and look forward to riding with you in a couple weeks when the Durhamtown series is finished for this year. We want to do a Tuesday practice with you at Calhoun as soon as school is over. Andrew would not function the next day if we tried it before then!!!

We are currently racing the Calhoun and Bremen Series. If you look at the results section you will see their are only 3 mini quads running in the Mini ATV class. We would like to get some more of the mini quads to start running at these tracks with us.

The problems that we are having is somewhat our fault too. Power is in numbers, and we don't stick together. Vs and other promoters like them only care about the dollar. If we would stick together and actually show up to the same place at the same time we wouldn't have as many issues as we do. The more atvs, the more money, and we would start getting respect. Until then the more we complain the worst off we will be.

Wow i just want to send out a big Thank you to Andy Humphrey the owner of Calhoun sx track and for the guys who invited us to come run are mini quad there.. everyone from the little girl who takes the money at the gate to the nice ladies the run there food service there and the dads of the kids that my son ran his mini quad with .. they made us feel like they known us for ever... if any one wants to run a great track that mini quad friendly nice size and groomed great... then you need to add this track to your schdule... look up there web site Calhoun sx track .. its in Calhoun Ga. e came in from Johnson city tn.. about 3 1/2 hr drive but well worth it and we will be back June 11th for some more super fun.....

durhamtown was a pretty big hit last night...we got some cool free things out it. we are gona take a few short weeks i hope a save some $ for suspension, but in the meantime where else is mx type tracks we could start scoping out for the mini quads. Woods would be fun i just hate running that motor that long$$$. me and trey talked some about racing up in saluda sc at dna if enofe quads showed up.

the parking lot isnt big.. but we parked going down toward stagging ..cause they come off the track on that side also.... we drive a sliver 4 door ford ...with a white older 16ft trailer and we have an orange apex .... we will be there right at 4 pm ...glad to see you guys coming out here... we just started there .. was there last race had a great time and my son loves there track .. very atv freindly... and we will be there for the rest of the year if all goes well.... and we have some freind coming down on the 25th race .. so i will have 2 more coming from tenneessee.. . see you there Saturday night...

a little of both one litle guy runs a 70 drr worked on a little he can keep up with you for sure we are built some but nothing major... but alot of it is the rider ..... my son just turned 11 and just now geting to really ride... so we should have a great race....

How did you do at Dade City?

Out of 15 quads we got 11th due to a DNF on the first race. We broke a tie rod on the first race. We finshed 7th in the second moto. Had a bad gate pick. Overall we had a great time.

You tube video looks similar to bremen. We will be there Saturday also. Gates open at 3. Sign up at 5. Practice at 6. Supposedly get 5 laps practice and can walk track before. It is supposed to be a very nice track.

the track is really nice and its atv freindly .... and i have not ran durhamtown.. but some of the guys that show up have and they say its nothing like the pee wee track at all... and yes gates open at 3 pratice at 5 racing at 6... 5 laps practice and your allowed on the track during the race and i have talked to most of the guys and right now not counting you guys should be 8-10 on the gate should be a great night of racing... we make the drive there and love it we travel 4 hours to get there....

What a showing last night! great to see so many minis on the gate. Let's do this again guys, seems like this track was very open to helping us out with classes and such if we keep the numbers there. We really enjoyed meeting some of the new families and seeing all the kids have a great time.

i havent been on this forum to much..i sure did miss alot..i belive me and my brother would like to bring or boys if it's not to dangerous..they raced at durhamtown about half the season(5 races)..was the 50s and 70s alltogether in one class or just race together.

my little man had a great time up until that little ski type jump..he kinda lost his nerve after that and putted around..we went to durhamtown the next day to build his confidence back up some..i wish more 50's would show up....o-that trx 90 was nasty wasnt it..money wize you could see it where it was at..must be nice to just change the plug and oil once or twice a year and be done

Sept is good. Calhoun has races the first 3 Saturdays and the only Durhamtown race that month is the 4th Saturday so no conflicts for us. Let us know so we plan on the correct one.

Tanner and Dylan have a Mid east XC race this weekend.

Andrew said he needs more practice on the dirtbike this weekend to be ready for round 1 at Durhamtown the following weekend. So we will be practicing on Saturday @ Talking Rock and Sunday at Calhoun.

Durhamtown runs the Bomber race (national style track) at 10am and the Little Buck race (lighted pee wee track) at 4pm on Saturdays so you can run both the same day if you want. He is racing the quad and kx65 on Bomber and the dirtbike only on little buck.

This is our planned race schedule for the next several weeks.

Sept 24th - Durhamtown - both races

Oct 7th / 8th - Calhoun / AMP double header weekend. We are planning on running AMP race on Sunday.

OCT 14th - Durhamtown round 2 -both races

That would be cool to see that trx out there..especially the bomber track. I would try to get my boy out there but thats to much for him (trying to remember what jump to hit)..The pee wee is a safe track for us right now..everything is laid back with a bud light :blah: Hope you can come up there..a camper rental or cabin starts out at like 40 bucks and up
