What battery are most of ya'll running for the 2nd battery on your 24 volt system? Im looking for a small compact battery, let me know brand and model please.

Which ever you choose, it needs to be the same as the first, preferably the same age. The stock sized battery works well, and is small enough to fit behind the airbox or under the hood.

I bought 2, 5L-BS one fits perfect in the stock location and I just the tiewrap the other to the cdi and it works like a charm!

yuasa ytz7s is what im running, i have it mounted under the hood with an ockerman battery box

Yea I'm going with a ytz7s and putting it in the stock tool kit area.

i just set one up on my bike. WOW what a difference in how it turns over. i cant wait to go racing Sunday! i have raced in fear of killing it and it not restarting. it is amazing how much quicker it starts!

Hold off buying these kits guys. There is a new battery coming out that will have plenty of power to turn these things over and is actually 5 lbs lighter than the stock battery. They are expensive compared to a normal battery, but less expensive than buying two batteries and wiring kit. I will give you more info when I get it.

They are a lithium Ion battery. They have a ton more cranking amps and last a lot longer. They will be available in a month or two.

CV4 sells the batteries NOW. MUCH lighter than the factory batteries and does not require a special charger to charge it up.
