So I have come to learn from my local shop that my 07 450r needs a top end due to needing intake valves and having a scored cylinder and needing a cam chain. To boot the crank has some play in it so they are thinking a cylinder kit and crank kit are needed since do race the quad in cross country.
This is where I need some advice. I am looking at about $2100 for the labor and aftermarket parts which will put the bike back to stock. What do you all think I should do?

What do you all think I should do? if no machine work is being done(porting head) then this is quite a bit of money to put back to stock!!If you are mechanically inclined you could probly do this yourself for under $1000 I think.... let me total and Ill get a do it yourself price

That's definitely a hose job. Contact Dave @ Hung Racing Engines.
He'll treat you right.

Way to much money in my opinion! You can get it done much cheaper.

The price should be around
crank 275 or so OEM or Hot Rod $225
cylinder 215 OEM
Piston 170-250 just depends on what you want
cam chain $36 OEM
gaskets and seals $100
main bearings $50
OEM in valves $47 each
Labor varies from but it should be 300-450 so 2100 sounds pretty high This not a quote just giving you a idea
