To be honest with you any slip on type exhaust will add mostly lowend to midrange power where the 400ex was designed to run at! The reason being is your header design gives your engine its power band range. Thus a full exhaust system with larger, shorter header pipes will give you more of the mid to topend gain you are looking for! Getting a full exhaust with a reverse megaphone design will also boost the mid to topend kick with the exspense of lowend torque.

I wouldnt use it on a stock engine because it would make it a pretty lazy 400ex that runs more like a small 2 stroke!

Go the the GT Thunder website, click R&D and look at the 400EX exhaust tests and you will see what Im talking about!
