gt thunder 400ex mx link question

i bought a new gt thunder mx link for my 05 400ex. will it work with the stock shock and swinger? i attempted to install it and it wont fit with the oem shock. tryin to figure out if it was packaged wrong or i need a rear shock.

The stock shock will bolt up. The linkage is designed for good progression and travel (ride height) with the stock shock extended and compressed lengths. You may have to rotate your shock spring to clear the swingarm, clearances are tight. Feel free to post any pictures if you still have questions.

What do you weigh? The stock spring will work okay for up to 150 lb rider, but much more than that and your ride height is way too low. Your stock compression valving is also too soft, so you'll bottom out pretty easy.
