could you explain the maitnence what all is involved how many degrees before you haft to rejet? it cant be as bad as a two stroke can it i had a 250r and had to rejet every 5 degrees for it to run right thats what im trying to avoid

Chef

well if we jet it on a rainy day, and the next day it isnt raining, then we have to rejet. and if its 45 and raining one day, and 42 and not raining AS HARD, but still sprinkling its off a bit too.just dont go to the lengths i did. the starter of this thread has about 1/3 of the engine mods i do, and his bike still seems to make a ton of power. its all in what you want, and how much you like to work on stuff

You should put a Sparks 690 kit on it.

Alot of money.. but very impressive.

The cam you have is a Web Cam grind #463/9i. The Valve lift is .385/.370. Duration in degrees is 310..duration@.50 degrees is 272/270. All in which is a very agressive cam. Riding in the woods will be dam near impossible. Whoopoing Raptors is a reality. I'm planning on doing the same. Stock rods is a concern.

Chef

ive been wondering, do you think LRD's cam is more aggressive than mine is? woods riding is eliminated from my riding now, and i am riding in the dunes 90% of the time or more. how did you get to 435? or are you just stating the actual displacement of a 440?

Sandragggen
12-09-2001, 11:02 AM
Yes, 435 is actual displacement of what many call a 440. I don't know much about the LRD cams but if you want to read more of what you have go to http://www.webcaminc.com/ or check out the attachment
