89 or just 89 plastics?

its an original 89 all original plastic and stickers. i got the original tank foot guards handle bars and shocks with the bike. The bike was in canada its whole life wich makes it extra rare because they never did produce the 89 in canada. i am debating putting it back to stock and do a full resto on it and just make it basically a show case bike or put a little bit of aftermarket parts on it and make it into a dune bike, but its a hard decision to make. any advise would be nice.

Thanks Nathan

TRIPPLE post!Ha,ha...I did that before, you can delete them now!As for tho R,nice...What kind of shocks are those? If you do a sand bike, will it be full on long travel etc???Question is,do you have another to ride to be able to have a garage queen?

those are white brother racing i believe. and yes i have an 86 for a daily driver. if i did a dune bike i wouldnt want to go all out i would still keep it orginal just kinda make it a sleeper bike

Nice clean platform, almost looks like troybilts 89 restore. Some elbow grease and cleaning it will look nice.

I like the sleeper bike idea- clean, stock looking with the essential aftermarket goodies.

Im sure they are rebuildable and better than stock. That is a good idea as a sleeper and those shocks would fit rite in.Must ditch the a-arm guards to a xc woods guy!

Ya I will have to go over the bike and clean it up good and give it a good detail before I get started. But I am just amazed at the condition this thing is in, it seems like it has barley been ridden. I have a 330 sittin on the shelf for this thing so if I leave it all stock with with just the motor done up it should turn some heads!:)
