450r, ltr 450, 450sx

so what do you guys think between these 3? Might get a 450 next spring so wonder what your thoughts are. The r and ltr would be pretty close if not race ready. Sx might have nerfs and some smaller stuff may be even some shocks. Ive found a few around my area all within $500 of each other or pretty close.

450R, the only other machines I would consider are the YFZ and the Can Am 450.

wait wait, a ktm 450sx? if so, thats what i would go for.

The trx450r with kickstart is the best machine out there in my opinion, they look sweet when they are modded out and they are lighter from not having batteries.

I would take the 450r over any of the other quads on your list, unless there was a spot for a DS650.

i do like the looks of the 450r when there done up. im racing so a ds650 is out of the question

dude i love hondas but if you can get a ktm do it. there almost race ready out of the box and super fast. marks ktm is BEAST!!!!

I am a Honda fan to the bone, that being said if you are buying a 450 for the purpose of racing the honda is the worst choice. They are so far behind the competition and aren't even attempting to get back in the game. There are so many overstocked 450r's that they haven't even been producing them. KTM is becoming the new powerhouse.

I have a TRX and I love it, Take them all for a spin if you can.

The LTR is FAST and so are the KTM's. If I was looking at buying a new quad and they were all around the same price, I would consider the KTM, then LTR then TRX.

Im not hating on the trx, I love mine, but the other two are better setup from the factory.

what kind of racing will you be doing? I owned a 05 honda 450r a month or two ago. I had plans to fix it up with suspension upgrades and maybe do some XC racing......but plans changed and I didnt really need two bikes ( the 450r and 400ex) and when it came time to give up one, I had to say bye to the 450r for several reasons.

What part of Ontario are you in BTW?

I think some people over look the 450r because its so narrow and not set up for racing. But really when you start racing all those parts get switched out. If you have the money. Even the ltrs are getting new a-arms and axles. But yes the other ones do have more going for them outta the box. The ones i was looking at are both practically race ready.

same here but im at the point where ill ride any thing. What ever stays running strong and gets me across the line. In Ontario, Canada i noticed a lot of people are going with ktm. Also fox shocks are really big right now. Few seasons ago it was all ltrs with elkas.

Haha, I wouldn't buy a quad from Mark. I've seen the video of him doing the huge burnout! :D I would go with Ktm 450SX Or Can Am
