CAUTION!!! The SPIN STOPS HERE!!!

CREED

We believe in Marx/Freud/Darwin/Nietzsche/Lukacs/Gramsci/Sanger/Dewey/Bloom

We believe everything is "OK"
As long as you don't hurt anyone
To the best of your definition of hurt,
and to the best of your knowledge
Unless they are radical right fundamentalist who believe in the " Second Coming", God, Logos...

We believe in sex before during and after marriage.
We believe in therapy of sin.
We believe that adultery is fun
We believe that sodomy is "OK"
We believe that taboo's are taboo
We believe in pleasure, syphilis, AIDS
We believe that anatomy is Destiny

We Believe that everything's getting better, despite evidence to the contrary.
The evidence must be investigated, you can prove anything with evidence.

We believe there's something in horoscopes, comets, UFO's and bent spoons.
Jesus was a good man just like Buddha, Muhammed and ourselves.
He was a good moral teacher although we think his morals were bad.
We prefer free love and virtue.

We believe that all religions are basically the same, at least one we read was.
They all believe in love and goodness.
They only differ on the matters of Creation, Sin, Heaven, Hell, God, and Salvation.

We believe that after death comes nothing, because when you ask the dead what happens, they say nothing.
If death is not the end, if the dead have lied, then it's compulsory heaven for all; excepting perhaps Hitler, Stalin, Genghis Khan.

We believe in Master and Johnson
What's selected is average
What's average is normal
What's normal is good

We believe in total disarmament.
We believe there are direct links between warfare and bloodshed
Americans should beat there guns into tractors, and the russians and chinese will be sure to follow.

We believe in world government
We believe in Gorbachev and Shakhnazarov
We believe in synthesis of western capitalism and Eastern communism equals world socialism.
We believe in socialism.
We believe in abolition of property, family, and traditional values.

We believe that man is essentially good.
It's only his behavior that lets him down.
This is fault of society.
Society is the fault of conditions.
Conditions are the fault of society.

We believe that each man must find the truth that is right for hiim
Reality will adapt accordingly
The universe will readjust, history will alter.
We believe that there is no absolute truth.
Excepting the truth that there is no absolute truth.

We believe in rejection of creeds.......
We believe in everything.....
We believe in nothing.....
We are dead men waling to the abyss....
Follow us and we'll make you dead men too!

The creed was desgined by me and several other fellow students for a Christian Leadership Conference... In a poll we took amongst people who read this, all of which were people on a college campus at random, we found that on average, 7 of 10 people regardless of race, sex, religion, republican or democrat, gay or lesbian, student or teacher, employed or unemployed, found the things in this creed to be valid in the method of life that you and i are living in right now!!!!!!!!!

Also, remember that today was the day that Christ arose from the grave and defied that accusations of the masses.

Good Friday was stunning, as pulling into the church parking lot for the Good Friday Service, a massive storm system was rolling in and the tornado sirens in the valley below were going off. Just like as if in that very moment well over a thousand years ago, christ was hanging on the cross!! When you see a scene like this....

Tell me that your mind doesn't wander and think about what kind of wonderful creator... OR accident.... could have designed or magically made that happen...

Exactly... People are un-educated and selfish.

I am especially disturbed by a recent newscast I saw tonight about the Tornadoes that ripped through Mid-Missouri just miles from my home on friday night. A man was being interviewed and he said " I sure am glad that the tornado didn't hit my home, and instead hit theres... I don't think I could survive my house being torn apart, even if i wasn't inside.". The man was sitting on his front porch in a lawn chair holding a Blue Ribbon Beer. I wanted to scream at him through the TV and say..." people's lives were altered, loved ones were taken, and livelyhoods were destroyed in seconds just feet from your home and all you can do is sit there and thank that it hit those homes instead of yours??? " By all means, i would rather it have been mine than that gorgeous family of 7 who lost everything they had ever worked for... Just food for thought....

see, i understand what your trying to do by this thead, but i agree with tommy, its extremely confusing. Usually when somone announces their creed of intent it is a creed of the beliefs and values they have....i understand your trying generalize and say that some if not all the points in thsi creed are how the "flock of carelesss, ignorant human sheep" thinks and feels, but this is not how i feel....

...and i would never go for any of these beliefs

So is being a Jesus Freak wrong?? I am in no way trying to look down on anyone... Just posting some thoughts. I never made a claim that i live a perfect life.. Unfortunetly i fall right into the guidelines of that creed. The creed is OBVIOUSLY sarcastic and intended to just be thought provoking. Take it how you will...

Tommy, nope it sure doesn't. :D I understand how it is confusing... Its meant to be sarcastic... I realize that not EVERYONE is like that, but most of us can sign our names by atleast one of those things. I was in no way trying to target individuals or attack members... Everyone on here seems to be level headed and hard working people...

Whatever.... not all christians are like that.... I would say I am just like every single one of you... I bet none of you knew i was a christian unitl now did ya?? otherwise please explain your infomral poll with all of the !!!!!!!!

I don't get my panties all up in a bunch, and even though this is an open forum discussing politics and religon always ends badly.

Like I said I took this lightly but I can see where the other remarks are coming from.

I can understand your thinking... I apologize if that is how it came off. It was specfically designed to not push beliefs on anyone. I was saying that it is what you and I are living in, not what we are doing.

No worries bro, no need to aplogize either. Like I said I go it, I was just explaining where the Jesus freak comments were coming from. Discussing religon in public forums always becomes heated. I usually just sit back and try not to let the flames singe my eye brows ;)

and i did not say you were a jesus freak, nor do i care what you believe in, thats your freedom and your choice...

i was just making a generalized statement that the bible thumping, born again, "if you dont stop sinning now", jesus freaks are sometimes as bad as radical, anti western muslims

IDK, I realized it was sarcasm the moment I read it. Reason I know that is b/c Im positive you and I think along the same lines politically-based on your post.

Course this forum can be tricky sometimes, people then again are to literal as well.

Yeah, seems like only the ones who actually take up an interest in politics actually know the history of it, and the terms and names.
