hey guys i have a 400ex with +2 LT houser a arms. I know they requires somewhere around a 19.25" long shock. Would it be alright if i ran a 19" shock? i found a good deal on some and was JW if it would work. Thanks.
Probably would be fine, cant say for sure. Every 1/2 will change overall height by 1 inch iirc.

The front end may feel alittle on the softer side but other than that it still will work fine.

You might have to use more preload or stiffer springs to get front ride height where you'd like it. To determine what shock length you need, remove your shocks, put the frame 12 inches off the ground and measure eye to eye length. Measure compressed length the same with the frame 1.5" off the ground. Make sure the shocks you are looking at aren't too short compressed; otherwise your frame will contact before you bottom out.
