as anybody ran into this n is there a tie rod end tht will work or do i need a nother new stem.its a LRD frame im rebuildn and ive bought a laegar stem and ive notised im three inches frm stem to were my tie rods mount n my stock and my buddys lsr is only 2 n a half inches.this bites its a brand new stem and i was a dumb *** n bought it frm some place n canada.handy.but u can see were im almost rubn.

i'd just run it if it doesnt rub at all when your turning the bars...

Yep, and if it does rub your gonna have to buy one with a shorter tab or modifiy one!

does the tie-rod actually hit the frame when the bars are turned all the way?? My friend had a LRD frame, and had the same problem but he was running a stock steering stem. His tie rod ends did actually make contact with the frame when you turned the bars all the way to one side. i forget if he modified the lower stem, or if he modified that frame tab it made contact with.... and it looks like you have beautiful fresh powder-coat on your frame.. So I'm sure you don't want to ruin it by modifying that frame tab..

You could probably just run that same stem, just drill a couple holes and cut off an inch of the ear. It seems the longer the ear, the sharper the steering and oftentimes the frontend binds up when turning too sharp.

hey thanx guys for the imput lookn like im gona do some stem drilln.yea im thinkn about doing a thread on my build.some 250r friends wanted me to n i love readn other peoples builds had hoped thy mite like mine.

Where did you get the spacers for your a-arms so that you can use 400ex on a 250r?

r u thinkn the spindels mayb so i can run 250r brakes.

Those are 400ex a-arms. Just wondering where you got the spacers in the bushing area where they mount to the frame.

no there for a 250 r there long travela arms frm j d racing n thm spacers is wht i move around to adjust my caster there called caster shims.
