looking at a lonestar framed crf 400ex geometry. is it worth buying or waiting for "R" geometry frame?

They would be very similar geometry, it's the parts components that would make you want to go with one or the other. If you are fine with 400ex components go that way, otherwise wait for 250R. 400ex stuff is usually cheaper, but 250R may be more in abundance/variety.

yea a couple years ago i would have said R, mainly because of the rear end on a hybrid usually being no link or cr500. Now shocks have developed a lot, and I'd say it doesn't matter as much. Set it up correct and it will treat you well.
