This was a good article, but the bottom line is racing is expensive. 2stroke or 4 stroke engines break all the time and they cost a lot to fix. I know the people I race close with have had more problmes with our 2 strokes engines. The only issue with our 4 stroke Yamaha 250 was a blown head gasket. I can realte to what he is saying. By putting so much money into these bikes or quads, we can't afford the higher cost and people are leaving the sport."sad but true". Derek

I can honestly say that since we've gone to the 2stroke dirtbike as opposed to the thumper mini quad engine it's ALOT less hassle building the lil dinger. Not as many parts that you have to worry about replacing or breaking internally. A fourstroke engine is hands down more expensive to rebuild due to valves, cams, springs, etc... Enjoying rebuilding ALOT more now with the dinger and it's much easier on my pocket.
