If your running the airbox lid on 150 main is going to be way to big. I just jetted my bike (lid on) and I tried 145,140, then 135. The 135 main with a 50 pilot is perfect, But i'm sure the stock pilot will be fine for your temp/elevation.

I ran a 135 main, stock pilot and the screw two turns out with the lid on when i had my motoworks slip on for my 05. I'd say thats a good place to start.

Well, typically when you add a exhaust, filter and remove the lid from a first generation R, you start at a 180 main and go from there.

That being said. With a slip on, I would start around a 160 and see how it runs. If it sputters, drop the main 5. Keep going till it sounds good, do a plug chop and be on your way. Your gonna wanna get a CRF needle too. Its so adjustable, it's amazing.

ahhh!!! didnt see the lid on. I still dont understand why people keep the lid on. I race XC with a outerwears lid cover and I NEVER have had an issue.

That being said. I say like a 150 and listen to what the engine is telling you. You may have to go higher or lower depending on your elevation.

I have never had to even adjust my valves by keeping it this clean, this is the main reason people keep the lid on,
I ride in real muddy deep wet turrain, and sometimes so dusty you cant see 3 feet in frount of you, I wouldnt feel safe running a open box in these conditions,

Went to put a 135 in my main. Took the main out its a 120? So I put the 135 in and it brike in half hand tightening the damn thing. So I oulled the other out of the main needle guide and am waiting until this week to get another 135 with the 120 it runs and on decel it pops a little bit
