well 5mins ago i went out to see if my quad will need a cam chain and well i think it might need on. but idk.

but my main question is this. when i started up my bike today cold, i put it in gear and just acted like i didnt have the clutch in. then after about 2 mins of running it just jumps foward win put in gear. stifts fine just jumps into gear when i first put in into gear. is this beacause its just got no oil over the clutch assembly yet?? or possible assembly problem on my fault?

btw once i get it into gear at a dead stop and shift it to anyother gear stoped it wont jump. only when i first go to a gear from neutral

Jump as in the whole quad moves a few inches/feet or jumps as in it locks into gear positively and you feel the trans going into gear?

2nd condition is normal, 1st condition could be a worn/mis-adjusted clutch cable.

quad moves about a foot. the clutch cable i thinks ajusted good and its a brand new clutch.everything was in good order too.

pull in more clutch cable. Meaning grab the clutch a little more by tightening up on the clutch cable to the adjuster.

The arm on mine wore where it rotates and pulls the clutch and gave me the same problem.
