ok im getting my motor layout started. i already have a 11:1 wiseco. stock bore. stage 1 hotcam, fmf slip-on. i would like to do some headwork and 450r carb. what i need to no is this

with the 11;1 piston, if i get my head ported will i need to run race gas? i want to run 93 cause thats what i currently use.
what do i all need to run the 450r carb? and what year carb?

if i get a decent port, and the 450r carb should i see a big diffrence in power? this quad already has tons of bottomend.

Your stage 1 cam will not work properly with this setup. You will find you have very nice low to mid range power but no top end. You need a stage 2 cam.

You will not have to run race gas with 11:1 and head porting, jetting it properly will help.

450r carb is a nice upgrade, you wont see insane power but you will notice it. You need one off a 04-05 450r and you need the hotstart plunger block off and a throttle cable from a 450r. You will also need to get/make an adapter to fit the 400ex air box boot or force it in there.

so i would have to get the port and polish for a bottom-midend job??
