Anybody used them? I would preferably want the ones with heel guards built in. What about the motosport house brand? I believe they're called Rock? Give me some reviews guys!

Have the tusk nerfs with the kick ups, they are almost an exact copy of the alba racing nerfs but the albas iirc connect up front using u bolts.

Anyways, no issues at all. Nothing has cracked or broke, I love the pegs and kick ups, nets are still going strong. They did require a bit of finesse to make fit but otherwise no complaints.

Could i make them mount with u-bolts? Could i use a larger piece of pipe and connect them up front then throw on some u-bolts to clamp them down? I dont care for the frame mounts design....

I bought the Tusks w/ heel guards a few months ago. I don't race but I ride pretty hard. They have saved me couple times when I came off the pegs. They appear to be well made. I haven't had any welds break and no bending. I mount my quad by stepping on the nerfs most of the time and I've bottomed out onto the nerfs a few times at a local gravel riding area. So far no signs of weakness or fatigue.

I did have to use a 2X4 to persuade them into place to get the wholes to line up but nothing major. My brother had the same issue with his Pro Amour's so that's not unusual I think.

And Rocky Mountain has them for $169 w/heel guards right now.

Its possible, but the end pipes (they are open) are slightly lower than the frame. But if you had time anything could work.

Trust me, Im about 200lbs and ride very hard and havent busted them yet. All of the weight is concentrated on the footpeg mounts anyways. If they do bust RMATV will make good,t hey always have in the past.

Yeah thats a good point, RockyMtn has good service. Have you ever hit the bars into a tree or any perpendicular force?

Only thing ever gone wrong with my Tusk nerfs with heel gaurds are the bolt where they mount on the subframe broke, they seem really cheap. I used better grade bolts and had not problems....I used a U-bolt to hold the back mount in place for a few days until I got around to getting some new bolts and held up wonderfully...Love these nerfs, and would put the up against most other brands

Words of advice: The heelguard is very much worth it, there is no such thing as being extra carefull-stuff happens.

I wont run a set of nerfs unless they have the kick up or the bike has heelguards.

I also have the Tusks with heelguards and kickup propegs. Well worth the money. FWIW, if you look very closely at the Rocks and the Tusks, they're identical. Pretty sure the same manufacturing company is contracted to build both. This is my third set of Tusks, all of which have been on race quads, and I see no reason to spend 2-3 times as much on a fancier name (and I've owned some of them too).

Tusk is one of RM's store brands. You could find a set of Tusk nerfs buried under a barn with cow dung and hoof print dents in them and send them in for a new pair.

OK maybe that's exaggerating a little but not much.

RMATV has great warranty policies, several issues I`ve had with product they were very very cooperative!
