starter problems

i have a 06 ltr and when i try to start it it turns over but the starter noise just keeps spinning like its not catching sometimes it will but still doesnt want to start at first. can anyone help?

I would try tapping on the starter with a soft face hammer and if that didn't work I'd pull the starter off and check it out.
