Be sure to call Teri at Apex and get your order in today.

This is one bad @@@ cross country sled................. Just a couple more little tweaks and I don't think you'll find a better mini for cross country racing. My son is loving this machine.

Thanks all! That swing arm is mounted like on the dirtbikes through the motor. Seems to work well in that configuration. That's how you can tell the factory 85s from the knock offs. I think another inch on the swinger would help keep the front wheels on the ground but that's what my son loves about it........... pulling wheelies out of the turns. I'll try to get a weight on it. The heaviest thing is the dang Hipers. I didn't realize how heavy they are. I have the same rear tires (940s) on Maximum RPM beadlocks (8x7) and the Hipers (8x8) are nearly 2 lbs heavier per wheel. Some of that is due to the rim size difference but it can't be to much.

Reference the MaxRPM Beadlocks, I'm using the 8x8 version for my 940's.

Thanks Chris. Zach got the win in his class and the overall. That was his second time on the quad. I can't wait to see how it runs after he gets some practice on it.

Supercool ride Todd.Looks like the king of the woods. We are still waiting for this machine to hit our shores, the Scandinavian main importer is waiting for Apex to come up with their own engine to bring down the cost, aparently they had to scrap the current engine they where working on as they could only get 16hp.out of it.???So they went back to the dravingboard i guess.

Chuck,I believe Brandon Ickard is running one now and they are being sold. Didn't this get settled over last winter? Should Eli continue I would like to put him on one as well for duarability issues. Any insight Todd?

The official word from Apex is that they are not AMA approved yet. They are available for purchase but didn't make the cut-off for approval. With the little bit of riding Zach is getting on his we might have it broke in by next season.

With that being said though I tried to find the AMA list of what is approved............. and couldn't find it. Anybody have access to it? I'm not a big fan of that rule for youth racing as long as if somone wants one they can get one. Yeah it wouldn't be fair for a manufacturer to make a super fast one-off bike that nobody else can get their hands on. That's not the situation here. GNCC needs to do what ever will get kids racing in our dying sport. We chose not to run ours this year for two reasons, first to stay out of the controversary it already stirred up in FL and secondly it wasn't ready to run the woods until a couple weeks ago. The plan is to have it on the front row next year, maybe even toward the end of this season.

Hopefully as the series moves North we'll see more youth racers. See my post on the racing forum for more GNCC class discussion.

Mark, Colton is on one at the mideast. One minute lead halfway through first lap, then axle nut came loose and started throwing chain. Once the bugs are fixed, this thing will fly. Don Reed put the motor on his apex chassis. If it will hold together Colton will make it go.
