2001 scrambler 400 2wd good deal? opinions please.

Hey guys, I'm looking at a 2001 scrambler 400 2wd. Its all stock in good shape and runs good. I can get it for $900. Is this a good deal? Anything to look for? What's it worth? I don't know anything about these quads. I need an automatic for the wife.

if it has a stock piston its going to need a new one other than that I dont know what else to tell you.

take the belt cover off, inspect belt

how does the chain look?

check all the grease zerks to see if previous owner always kept them lubed (especially rear axle, and swing arm pivot bolts)

check tie rods and front spindles for any play, steering stem
