my friend has a yamaha rhino 700fi red 4x4. not sure on the year. anywho he says it tops out at 45mph and he wants to fix that if he can and wants an exhaust system.

how do you get the speed out of it?
does he NEED a powercommander for a aftermarket exhaust?

the rhino section hasn't been active in like 4 months so i posted here.

Go with a good CDI/power commander and a machined clutch sheave. You can also play with the clutch sping and weights to dial it in to your likings. The sky is the limit from there really. A good exhaust and intake are also some easy things to add a little power.

Cant say for sure there. Ive never used any of those setups on my rhino. Your best bet would be to contact the company and get the info right from them. If i had to guess, id say 10+hp and 10+mph roughly.

We work on Rhinos/UTV's for a living and there is a ALOT you can do to the motor and clutch to get more power out of it..... he can do a google search for Rhino forums and ask some of his questions on there. It's just going to depend on his budget!

he just bought a house, got married with 3 kids, a few dirtbikes, new 08 chevy duramax, and a new rhino all at 20 years old...tight budget.

he probably doesn't want to go over a $1000 and he doesn't have internet so i'm his go to guy for this stuff.

basically just the kit i posted is what he's looking for.

change the CDI...that helps a lot.

He will need a CDI box (power commander) to get rid of the factory rev limiter. They aren't very expensive. An exhuast will def help, but might as well do an intake, too, since the intake is also corked up from the factory.
