Anyone know of a good bend of a bar for a happy medium between freestyle and MX.

Im using a renthall race bend right now, and it just seems to make freestyling a little more difficult then it should be.

Be more specific as to what you don't like about them. Too tall, wide, feel cramped, etc??

Specs for the Renthal ATV Race Bend:

- Width 806mm
- Height 150mm
- Rise 95mm
- Sweep 75mm

Looking at those numbers I can tell they are rather wide, have pretty good height, and have moderate sweep/pull back.

For freestyle you want a bar that is more narrow, has good height, and has less pullback. With MX riding you don't want to go too narrow, too tall, or have too much pullback.

you pretty much hit the nail on the head, im a short guy so, any advice on a bar thats still semi - practical for hitting the track and still good enough hight for me to be able to freestyle with.

I feel like they are too short for me to use to leverage my body up and over the fenders, ect. i have to push WAY harder to do certain tricks because my body angle has to be that much more to compensate for the lack of height.

(but i dont want to go with a bend that makes the track days hard.)

I can however say i do freestyle a lot more than i hit the track, so racing is a light hobby.

I'm not that tall at 5'7", but I like my bars tall, narrow, and with little sweep. I use the Fly Aero-Tapered 1 1/8" snowmobile bars in Mini bend. They work great for MX riding as well as doing tricks. The only downfall to them is they are not that wide, so if you have a lot of stuff on your bars like handguards and such, it will be a little cramped fitting your controls on there. Specs for Fly Aero-Tapered Snow bars in Mini bend:
- Width: 737mm
- Rise: 85mm
- Height: N/A
- Pullback: 55mm

I also have the same Fly Aero-Tapered Mini bend bars on my KLX110, but the "MX bars". They are wider, slightly lower, and a little more straight with the sweep. (Tag Mini Racer bend is the exact same bar)
Specs for Fly Aero-Tapered MX bars in Mini bend:
- Width: 740mm
- Rise: 83mm
- Height: 118mm
- Pullback: 42mm

My last suggestion would be the Fly Aero-Tapered MX bar in GP High bend (Renthal Carmichael High is the exact same bar). In comparison to the above Mini MX bar, this is a lot wider and more standard width, not quite as tall, and has more of an upturn to the ends of the bars due to the upsweep angle.
Specs:
- Width: 802
- Rise: 80mm
- Height: 114mm
- Pullback: 54mm
