this might be a stupid question but i dont know much about the process of cylider boring and sleeving so im gonna ask. I bought a wiseco 89mm 440 kit that came with a sleeve a while ago and i want to make it more reliable and go back to a smaller size. I have done lots of searching and i want to go 416. i know when i got my 440 done they had to bore it put in the sleeve and then rebore/finish the sleeve. if i go smaller i just need to know can they punch that sleeve out and put a new stock or 87mm sleeve in or do i need a new cylinder and start from scratch. any advice is great.

You can buy just the sleeve. All thats needed to redo it is to heat the entire cyl up, sleeve pops out, make sure you have the other sleeve on ice and when you get it ready drop the cold one in (heat expanded the cyl and the cold contracted the sleeve. Then you can bore it to the size you want.

OR pay a machine shop to do it.
