My rings are WAY out of spec and i need new ones.
I have an 88mm wiseco and can not find rings on there website.
I can find that they have them but i can not find a place to order them, i need to get a set get it back together and break them in before next weekend.

you could try parts unlimited. I think they carry wiseco rings. the only problem with them is ordering, i think you have to call or be a dealer to order from them.

you can look stuff up on their site though,

although im not sure if you can even get 88.25 or 88.5mm rings that will work with the piston.

lol

i looked on ebay and parts unl. and didnt find any so im thinking that it may be a tough road to finding some. I thought that they made though. maybe it would be worth a call to wiseco directly and ask them if they still make them. then you can get a part # and either get them from parts unl or a dealer or directly from them.

Crap there not open on Saturday.
Well im gonna call around but its definitely gonna be tough to get a set and have it back together in time.
Its a new rebuild with only mayb an hour and a half or so on it but me being a genius got on it a little hard before i was done with break-in and fried the rings.
They had like a 55 thousands gap in them i think a little more.
Do you think i just burnt the ends off them, could i just get another set of 88 and do you think they might work.

If i dont have anything by Monday im going to mic. my cylinder to see what i can do.

honestly and to not to lead you anywhere where i am not 100%, i would talk to the machine shop that you plan to have the work done at. they could tell you if a light hone and the same 88mm rings would work or if it would have to be honed out enough to need a bigger ring.

that is def not my department of expertise so i cant tell you if 55 thousands is a big gap or not. Intuition says that it is quite a bit though. that is .055" which is way out of spec for just about anything that has to seal well.

maybe checking the clearances in the manual for service limits would be worth while before a trip to a machine shop. i have a couple of things to do first but i will check it out in a bit and get back to you.
