malossi air cooled motor built and ported by Billy holt.
Dr pulley variator with 3.75 rollers
787 belt
stage 6 clutch set at 6700rpm by the tach
ztr 1500 spring
metrakit pro race pipe
ported koso intake w/carbon reeds
d-slide 24mm carb

bike ran very well but we went to a new bike so i removed the 28mm carb that was on it and put on the new bike.this bike has been sitting for about 5 months.put this used 24mm carb on it and i have jetted it every way i can and it will not run right.Fires up the first kick and idles fine.it will rev good the first time you hit the throttle but if you hold it at half throttle it will slowing start to die out.at this point it will not rev well and will not idle well until you let it cut off.Kinda like it is running out of fuel.Think the carb is just bad. It's a used carb i got with the motor along time ago but i never tried it out until now.

Swap the carbs back if you still have both. If it runs good....it was the carb.

I think it's a bad carb too.
You can try boiling it to get the crud out of the passages.
Unless you have a buddy with a ultrasonic parts cleaner. :)

we had a bog in ours so i went to napa and bought a 1 gallon container of carb clean.after you open this nasty smelling concoction there is a small tray to soak the parts in.we soaked for 15 minutes and re-assembled and it fired right up and so far the bog is gone.we'll see next outing but you know how that goes.................. :D :D
