Been riding pretty much all my life. I`ve been riding my 400 for the last ten years moderately aggressive and prior to that I had a few years on a dirt bike. Well, I`ve had the itch for another dirt bike, so i picked up a KX 250 the other day. I had a weird thought about riding it the other day......am I too old to ride it the way I want to? haha, I`ve just never had that thought cross my mind like that before. BTW, I`m 34. make any sense?

You're never too old to ride! I know guys in their mid 40's and low 50's that ride just as hard every weekend as some guys my age. As long as you aren't physical hurting (too bad:D), I say keep at it.

Dave Simmons is winning morning overalls in the GNCC and I heard he was 127!

Glen pritchard is in his late 50's I'd say, and he has stage 4 lung cancer, one lung removed and races his wheels off!

I geuss you act as old as you feel!

Indeed. There's a reason that many race circuits have a 30+ class. It's still fun and a lot of people do it, even as they get older.

You are not old you young kid. I am all most old at 59. I might be old when I no longer can physical ride my quad.

Holy Crap!! I didn't start riding till I was 40! You are young. I've been riding for less than a year and I am hoping to make my first double this summer and improve from there. If you're too old to ride hard, I'm screwed.

 JP! But seriously, thanks for the words guys. It was just funny a few weeks ago, I was climbing some pretty knarly hills on my 400, and some kids (18 y/o or so) were shocked that I was going up these hills at all, let alone on a quad. Then they found out how old I was and they were shocked. (the looks on their faces). Then I thought, should I be doing this? hahaha......I figure I have good insurance, so what the hay!

I was at the track one day putting in some laps and I came off the track to my trailer. A young girl (17-18) came walking over to ask me something and as she walked up I pulled off my helmet and she turned red in the face and started laughing, then she turned to her boyfriend and said “he’s an old guy! Ha!Ha! You just got your *** kicked by an old guy!”
She came over and talked for a minuet and went back to there camp.
I thought that was funny as hell.

My dad was riding wheelies in the yard showing off and took a spill on his 50th Birthday. You are as old as you feel. He felt about 25 until hit hit the ground, where he said he felt 75.

I've personally ridden with guys in their 50s that can still rock on a quad or bike.
