When I was changin my axle carrier, two quarter sized pieces fell outta the rear brake deal. Not sure what they were or where they go but now the brakes don't work?

Anyone know what I'm talkin about?

Are you sure it was from the back brakes???? i can't imagine what would be a quarter size...

Are the thin and look to be made of sheet metal? If so thats a small spacer, not sure why they are there as I threw mine away when I changed my brakes and had no issues.

Pictures would be helpful.

Will get them up when I get er back tomorrow. Yeah, the caliper swung and hit a little on the swingarm and those 2 little pieces fell out and now I think the pads move freely now.

Will have pics tomorrow!

Sorry for the delay. Heres the picture. I thought they were two but I actually think the one on the right fits inside the left one.

No idea lol all i know is that i dont have back brakes anymore!

yea, those go inside the piston on the caliper. Only 1 per.

I cant remember if I have any on mine anymore-didnt seem to need them iirc after I put some EBC pads on.

I dont have them on mine either. I cant imagine y your brakes dont work tho. are the pads installed correctly? Is there brake fluid in the reservoir?

Yes and they worked fine before that so I donno? So those two pieces do not need to go back in?

the one with the edge on it goes inside of the piston, the other one goes on the opposite side. I would put the one back in the piston but they arent really needed anyway. it just makes it so no crud gets in the housing, though it is sealed off so it really isnt a big deal.

that would not cause the brakes to quit working though.

Yeah I got them fixed. I just pumped the lever like 4 times and then they finally grabbed.
