Ok. Yes theres oil there, not insane amounts but there is oil. If its leaking my guess is your gasket is bad as thats where it appears to be leaking from.

If its a very slight drip you could just watch it and be carefull it doesnt become a problem-or you can yank the cover off and replace the gasket

uea i just yanked the cover off and theres not alot of oil but just liek a coating. so it is ok to replace the gasket with reg silcone gasket maker and what kind should i use?

Id use a gasket, RTV is ok but you need to get it very thin to work and even then its not a guarantee it will work right..

Id oil the bearing.

now i was wondering why wouldent a gasket maker work and what would a bearing grease do to the bearing?

Gasket maker may not seal right b/c the gaskets on these quads are very thin. Add to much gasket maker and it may not seat the cover properly.

No idea what bearing grease would do to the bearing.

what would a bearing grease do to the bearing?

I've always used Vaseline/Petroleum Jelly. Sticks and adheres very well, also allows the engine oil time to reach the bearings or seals preventing dry starts and such. I pack lip seals with them too to help the seals with seating to shafts on motors and such. Just my 2 cents but I'd get the case gasket. Matt
