Does anyone know what size, or where I can get the two little screws that go into the top of the "piston" on the 450r carb? I'm looking for the two little guys that attach the arm to the piston in the carb. All the online parts sites are wanting to sell the whole arm for like 60 bucks.

EDIT: I also have both the stock and HRC needle. Any pros or cons to the HRC? Or just stick with the stocker?

if you can wait till this afternoon i will get the manual out and check to see if the size is in there. I doubt it though.

jets r us doesnt have them either, i thought they did. lol

check the manual if you have one though, otherwise just take it to an ace, they will be able to tell you what it is.

also, i would recommend running the stocker. i think the hrc is a bit leaner than the regular needle. keep it in case you need to run e85 or something one day, it will be a great help.

Worst case scenario you get "slightly" bigger self tapping screws.

just got done browsing the manual... no such luck there. either take them to ace or fastenal and see if they have some. otherwise its time to get creative with something a bit bigger.

Yea I figured I would end up just taking them somewhere. Just thought I'd ask first. Thanks for the help.

I do however have a pretty mean backfire on decel I can't seem to shake. I am a bit lean on my main (155 bumping it to a 160 when it gets here), but I'm running a 52 pilot and 2.5 turns on the screw. I'm starting to think I've got an exhaust leak somewhere.

sounds like you have a leak somewhere. how do you have your hot start plugged off?

Yea I took the end parts off the cable and dropped them in the hole and topped her off with RTV.

Home depot or lowes will have those screws. See if you can take the thing with you and try some various sizes.

My guess is they are approx 4-5mm at best.

I just fought with my brake master CYL, both screws stripped out, got one out but had to drill it the other-thankg od I have a tap and bought new screws last night.
