250r linkage

i need sombody's help my 1988 250r sits low in the the rear and i need help finding out why i bought new shock but the rear linkage is 1986 is that the problem or all years the same or they differnt please help

You need a 88-89 dogbone, the wishbone is the same for all years

Also i believe some shocks had different lengths, slightly.
