Tire size???

Hey this should probably go on the racing question page but when I read the other posts I wasn't sure. I want to know what size tires should I use on my 00 400EX for racing? I need both rear & fronts sizes. I've been looking at tires & have no clue. My book gives me specs but aren't racing tire sizes different from the stock or trail riding tires sizes?

mx I run : 18" Rear, 20" Front

all around trail riding : 20" rear, 21" front

I dont really race XC if thats what youre into, so I'll let the other guys fill you in on that

Everything so fars spot on pretty much. I prefer a taller 22in front if your gonna trail ride or do XC.

I will be running mx. Do you have any specific tires you recommend? I was looking at the DWT MXF V2 but not sure standard or soft compound. Love to hear what others run. Thanks

I like the holeshot MXR6s, and the kenda claw mxs..

I'm intrigued by the 'STI Tech 4's' i might give them a go

I've heard good things about DWT, but have never tried them before..

I tried the rzr mx tires and threw out a sidewall, prematurely to my standards. My buddy on a ktm just blew a RZR too and switched to MXR6s..

but everyone has they're preferences
