2006 Rear Fender on an 05 Frame?

Hey guys, anyone know if a 2006 rear fender will fit onto a 2005/2004 frame?

Yes, but you will need to modify them slightly to make them stay tucked in under the tank, because the pegs on the newer style are slightly different than the 04-05. Some change the heat shield under the tank to the new style. I just made minor modifications to make mine work with my stock shield.

No, they are not the same. Like he explained, they bolt on differently and you have to have an 06+ heat shield to bolt them to under your tank, or you will have to modify the plastics. It's easiest to just buy the heat shield and slap it under your tank, then they bolt right up. Only 04-05 are the same.
