450x vs 700r

i need to get me 450x to beat a 700r with alot of mods. io have sparks, k and n, and pc 5 coming. what will get me faster?

good luck buddy...a modded 700 is really fast, i used to have one and all i had done was exhaust, intake, pc3, hot cams stage 3, and 11:1 piston, and no one could touch me from my area..

Sorry to tell you but the new 450r and 450x dont put out the power like the carbed yfz's with the same mods. If you had the normal yfz you would probably beat him.

350cc is a lot to over come. A good cam from MMAD or webcam will help, high comp piston, 12.5-13.5:1, port & polish, bigger valves, bored throttle body.... If you truly want to beat him, you may need $3000 or so +, big bore, stroker, etc. Basically a lot more CCs to push more HP.

The list goes on.

P&P, high comp, and cams will help a lot. The MSD is better than a PCV. Once you get it on a dyno you are able to do more with it.

you have to be saying that just because you have an old style yfz,

the carb bikes hit harder and are easier to make powerful, the efi are more expensive to make power

I'm saying that because it's the truth, I have rode a new r and x at the dunes that had work done to them and my carbed yfz straight up smoked them. If you read around you would see what I'm talking about. Go look on yfzcentral and yfztech.com, they all say the same thing, not just because they have the carbed yfz's either, because its the truth.
