what to spend 400$ on for xc??

well what i plan on buying is a stabalizr. handgurns with bark busters, engine skid, and thats it. what else?

1: stabilizer
2: good grips and gloves
3: full skid
4: good nerfs that wont bend easy when hitting rocks and trees
5: gas to keep practicing as much as you can lol

lol check the list again lol i noticed you had the swinger skid and nerfs so i fixed it a bit. id check for something other than ac nerfs if i was going to be hitting some major stuff. I guess it would depend on the track though really.

yfz would get my vote unless you want to do some revalves but the 450r ones would be great with that done.

the yfz ones would be nice for woods since they are a bit softer than the r shocks.

Dude those mohawks make you like a beast. This a true story the first time I went to the sand dunes and a guy had one of those helmets and he wheelied on the side of the hill and then on flat ground!

sounds like you've got most of the more popular upgrades covered. so I'll just toss out a list of goodies that you might want to consider in the future...

1- '04-'05 450r carb and adapter. with your 11:1 & stage 2 cam, it will add 3 to 4 more HP
(send a PM to member ZRPilot for the adapter)

2- Oversized oil cooler and/or Spal fan
(lots of threads on some very nice installs, use the search to find them)

3- XR's Only Oil Temp Stick
(nice to be able to monitor your oil temps)

4- Upgraded Wheel/Axle bearings
(when you run out of other things to spend the cash on, haha)

5- Better aftermarket springs for the front 450r shocks
(specific to your riding weight and A-Arms)

6- Steel Braided brake lines
(GREAT improvement in your braking, even with OEM calipers)

7- YFZ Front Calipers
(direct bolt on, and double the braking power)

8- HID headlight mod
(Cheap, and super bright. Lots of threads on these too)

9- Oversized fuel tank by Clarke or IMS
(not cheap, but nice to have)

10- Garmin Handheld GPS, RAM mount, and Helmet mounted speakers and mic
(nice to plot your course, and be able to communicate with your buddies)

That should keep you busy for a little while,...
