Hey I have a 99' 400ex with rox pivioting riser (2in I think) and I wanna replace the clutch and throttle cable. Can I use stock ones or do I need longer ones?
and
When Im in 4th/5th gear the throttle lever seems to vebrate, and after about 20min of riding my thumb starts to cramp. Any ideas or am I just being a wuss

are you using the stock bars + the riser? I would think that the cables will definitely work, they may have to be routed a bit different around the tank for the throttle and ran a bit tighter for the clutch.
the brakes can just have the T down on the frame unbolted and they will be fine to get the length.
about the throttle, you can use a trx 90 throttle block(the lever is longer on the 90 block), change the spring inside the throttle block, get a plastic extension for the 400 one, a twist throttle, or a dual gasser so you can have both the thumb and a twist.
you may also be able to try a 450r one, i dont think the lever is different on them though.

i have renthal bars on it. the brakes are in the stock location.
iv seen ppl on here using 250x cables and routed them differently. what year am i looking for
and changing the spring. do you mean replace it with a stock one, or a different one

Here's what I did for both my wife, and my daughters quads. I use a twisty on my own quad.

When I put a 3.5" riser on my 99' for ice racing, I used a 05-up clutch cable which was approx 3" longer than the 99.
