hey guys,for soem reason my dang ole axle lock nuts won't come off.....Arn't yah supposed to turn it towards the front?Well I am and i even got a 3ft long torque bar,and she's turning very lil...help me,i need to change my carrier b4 this weekend...

i had the same issues takes alot of torque don't use a pipe wrench cause that actually squishes the nut making it harder i ended up heating my nuts up with the ole cutting torch:huh and then they slid right of like butter

the threads are reversed right to loosen left to tighten inner nut is the lock nut loosen that one first

ok,so towards the front of the quad is the way I should turn them?Or towards the back?

no towards the back cause you got to crank them on farther in order to get the clip out once you get the clip out then you crank it towards the front of you quad in order to take them off

start with the inner nut first and crank it towards the back of the quad once you get it loose then you crank the outer nut towards the back of the quad take the clip out and then crank the outer nut towards the front of the quad until removed and then repeat on the inner

dont worry about rushing joe, there is no race this weekend, gatorback is postponed.

get a torch and heat it up, it helps alot

Sharpshooter and I JUST went through this Saturday night. It is a pain in the neck....Just remeber that those nuts are left hand thread. it also takes a while, cause they are so fine threaded. Once I walk my lazy behind to my truck, I will post some pics.
