Ok so I bought a set of motoquad a arms from a guy. Turns out one of the lower ball joints is pooched. (I specifically asked if they where still good) Besides the point.
So today I go about taking them out to figure out a replacement.
They are rebuildable?
You remove a snap ring, and the bottom of the joint comes out. There is a half a cup with a spring. Then the king pin falls out. Then there is the top of the ball joint cup that u can push out.
I've never seen an atv with ball joints like this.
I don't even know where to look.
Any ideas?

Yeah it does appear to be very similar. Except it doesnt have a thread on cap like the janssen ones do.
I might be able to use those parts and reuse some of my parts too.
Thanks.
Anybody else?

They are out of business. I heard Mark opened another company or something. Besides that I haven't a clue.
That phone number doesnt work.
Thanks though.

Hey Derek,

Dang! I hate hearing of businesses closing their doors!

I wonder if NAPA or UAP could help you out with a ball joint ?

Modquad had to get them from somewhere.....and modify them for the A-Arms

Just gotta find a Auto Parts guy that knows what it came off of or has a cross reference sizing chart.

Too bad the Manufacturers like MOOG or Federal Mogul would list those ON-LINE!!!! It'd save us tons of time
