I have regular 20" Holeshots in the rear and they work just fine for me. I race Mx, Trail ride, and race harescrambles.

they suck in the snow if you ride in that, i have 20" and they don't like to move me.

Lower the air pressure to about 2 or 3 pounds.

Most definetly, the Holeshots are an excellent! The regular 20" Holeshots are lighter than the XC tires, which make for quicker starts. They also do not rob as much horsepower due to their lighter weight. The advantage of the XC tires are that they are more puncure resistant than the regular Holeshots.

The 23" Holeshots are XCT's that have additional plies for puncture resistance, same amount of plies on the 22" Holeshot XC front.

I find that the 23" front tires push more in turns compared to a smaller front tire, but roll over obstacles easier... Plus they add some more ground clearance. You may also find that having the 23's add more rear traction since you will be raising the front and sending more weight towards the rear.

In short, if you like the way your 22" fronts handle now and have no ground clearance issues, I would recommend staying with the 22" front tire.

Note: If I remember right, Jeff at the Quad Shop noticed that the 23" XCT front tires are a little narrower than the 22" Holeshot XC. Narrower is good for going between trees!:D
