Pretty self explanitory. I know a stage two would be better but I got a brand new stage one with some other part. The question is will it do any good over stock.

Thanks

It's not like one is "better" than the other, they basically will both add power, it's just where in the powerband do you want that power? Usually with a 440 build or a larger motor, you gain enough low end grunt (especially if compression is bumped up) that you can take advantage of a top end cam, and still not sacrifice bottom end power. A 440 with a stage 1 will have gobs of torque though. I'd run it if you already got it, or try swapping it, or even selling it on here and buying a stage 2 if you want.

You will find your going to have alot of lowend to midend power and it will trail off and leave you with little topend.

It depends on where and how you ride. Worst case you use it, dont like it and can get most of your cash back and buy a stage 2.

I ride trails so low end torque is good. I assume a stage 2 is mid range and stage three is top end.

Thanks for the replies

hot cams specifically recommends NOT running a stage 1 with a 440 bore.
