My 03 400ex/06 CRF450 Hybrid has an 06 450r swingarm, and I believe it has the 400ex stock linkage on an axis shock. The *** end is way too high. My question is what linkage does anyone propose I run to lower the *** end and get better cornering results from the rear? I play on mx, in the woods, pit ride. Do I look for a 450r linkage, a different 400ex linkage, a little bit of both or what?

Well, My Wife's 400ex also has a 06 450r swinger, and on it I put the stock 450r linkage with the stock 400ex dogbone and it really slammed the bike, not sure if it's healthy or not but she just puts around on it anyways. But it corners like a dream. Same setup with the 400ex linkage on my Hybrid and the *** end is sky high and doesn't corner for sh*t.

I believe 04-05 450R and 400ex front links are similar; the 06 450R front linkage is longer than them. The 400ex dogbone is also slightly longer than the 06 450R link. Have you tried both 06 links? I really like the GT Thunder linkages, but not sure which one you'd want to choose for your application. Also, check to see that your shock is the correct extended and compressed length to give you 12" frame top out height and 1.5" frame bottom out height.
