Since im bored I figured I would show what I picked up today.

One of my friends had a 93 trans am, and unfortunately was forced to sell it due to needing the money and the fact that the car itself needed some money. So I bought the wheels off of it before it was sold.

They're 17" C4 ZR1 wheels. 275/45 in the rear, 245/45 in the front.

Next up is a lowering kit, about 1 1/2 inches:cool:

looks a lot better than the irocs;)

now you need to work on a body kit....IMHO those TA's always looked like an oversized sunfire...no offence

looks good, now be careful with that 10 bolt haha.

Tommy Warren- trans ams look different from formulas.

Thanks guys!

Yeah I know, these new tires are gonna put a lot of stress on that 10 bolt haha.

No body kit. It's a firebird lol. All im going to get is a lowering kit to get rid of all that truck-like wheel gap.

IMO I always thought the LT1 trans am's look too bulky with the pointed nose. I like the LT1 formulas and the LS1 trans ams.

I've never really liked the LT series of anything. Camaro's, formula's, trans am's. However I'll take an LS1 SS or Trans Am. Especially a 30th Trans Am.

Whenever I hit the lottery to pay the $4.00 a gallon gas to get out there!:p

I would seriously make a trip if gas wasn't so damn expensive.

Yeah it's horrible. I have to run 93 in my car because on 87 is has noticeably less luster and the motor just doesn't seem as smooth.
So while everyone here is paying 3.79 a gallon, i'm stuck paying 4.09. And with my heavy foot, I get around 13 in town.

I wonder whether i would see a gain from running a higher ocatne....

What car and motor?

I do see a difference with mine. The LT1 is designed for 93, so when you run 87 the computer retards the timing to prevent detonation. By running high octane it allows it to advance it more and put out a couple more ponies.

I mainly noticed the difference WOT. Down low it's not too noticeable, but up top it seemed to pull a little harder.
