another what hot cam

i bought a 400ex and it was smoking bad so i pulled it apart and it has a hotcam but not sure what one it has EHR 7 engraved on it i tryed messaging hotcams but havent got a reply back.

from what i read it looks like a stage 1. ill keep reading to verify for sure though.

i was hoping it was a stage 2 cause the quad has a 440 kit in it and i have read that stage 1 is no good for that engine.

it would be ok for it depending on the compression and where you want the power to be at.

it all depends on how you want to set it up.

well the cylinder is skratched and needs to be bored out but cant find a piston for under $225 for 440 overbore so i might just get a new cylinder and stock piston it seems the cheapest route.

You cant overbore a 440 anyways. Either buy a new cylinder for a 440 or go down a few sizes to say a 416 or 426.
