what wires do i cut on my 08 450 er cdi box to get another 1000 rpm.

The wire mod is only for 2006 and up.. no 04 _05. .... And to get some more performance for cheap id take the air box lid off and rejet....take out the metal cage in the filter if u have a stock filter keep..... U can regear if u want more top end or bottem end. The 2006 450 has good bottom end from stock. ...and keep ur VALVES adjusted......get an hrc kit header and a slip on for cheap exhaust or just get a used full one....What is ur set up right now?

depending on type of air filter also the actual compression, what exhaust,age of packing, octane and age of fuel and type of fuel and elevation and temp,are all variables that affect main jetting, making no 2 alike and making every answer strictly a guess

if you are stock without lid any ware from 130-170 depending on all the variables,you could have two equally modded quads side by side with different size jetting!
doing a plug chop is the best way to get it right!!anything else is just guessing

but my guess is 145-150, but you cant be sure without plug chop, and your better being to rich then lean,so i would start at 160 and work your way down to the right size

Go a tooth bigger on your front sprocket with them 18's..
