Anybody have one they just wanna get rid of for like 500 bucks? Doesn't have to be anything fancy, he's only 4, but says he wants a "gas powered quad that's a beast in the woods cuz his quad is too slow" lol. He rips around on his power wheel now non stop till the battery dies. Just thought I'd ask, hoping someone has something laying around.

Just need something to get him familiar with the whole thumb throttle, acceleration and better with braking before I go and drop 2-3k on one. Let me know!

We started jack on a Kazuma 50, great little starter quads. You can pick one up for 500 new shipped. They go under other names as well. Meerkat is one of em. It depends on the size of your 4 year old though. Jack was 2 1/2 and weighed about 30lbs. Matt.

i second that on the kazuma -or kazumazue as we call them .they are shifter old style honda 50 motors,no front suspension ,but the gears keep the kids from going fast and its safe and starts every time.electric start too.taught three of my kids to ride on that thing.before they started racing ....actually sorry i sold it two years ago ...

No problems with it, we did have to adjust the valves after a few months. Jack did blow the motor after 7 months, but it was a HARD time. He ran the guts out of the thing. It is a pefrect little machine for starters, my fault he blew it. I let him excede it's limits on our practice track. We moved to a lt 50 after that. The lt 50s are a great starter bike also. I recomend the 2 stroke version of the Suzuki, the 4 strokers have no power. One note on either of these, you can purchase 1 inch wheel spacers that go on the wheel studs to widen the stance a bit. Matt.

i'll third the kazuma, i was a dealer for them, probably sold 300 of them, with little problems, the 50cc are great and you can get new motors for them on ebay for $200 if you had to. i think it better at that age to spend $500 for them to learn on and out grow in a year and through it away then spend $2000 on a 50cc polaris and sell it for $1000 after 1 year.

Cool, thanks fellas. Anybody know who's got 'em? I tried to google Kazuma, and this one site keeps popping up saferwarehouse.com I think it was, but they're all over ripoff report.com I'd prefer to buy from an actual dealer instead of an online broker, or from somebody who's already got one. Or an lt50 2 stroke?

There are some hits on craigslist, but that racewayatv.com has some pretty good deals on new stuff as well it appears.

Yeah, I visited raceways site, the models I'm interested in are no longer available. My brother has a 50cc 2 stroke eton for his young boy, it is a very solid wheeler as well. Keep your eyes open for an eton too.

my mom is selling my sisters blue 110 it has forward and reverse we modded the thumb throttle so its easier on their little hands so it doesnt fatigue as fast and mounted on brackets for number plates but it was never raced it is a 2008 forget the brand but its off brand and seems to be a decent little starter quad it pulls me around and i weigh 195lbs you can govern it with a throttle screw to go as slow as you want until you feel comfortable with the little one going faster my little girl rode it when she was 3-4 and i just got her a 70 with racks on it or i would buy it, if you want a picture text me at 419-569-4338 she is asking $500 for it she paid $1000 for it new 3 yrs ago and it only gets rode around the backyard
thanks

Thanks Tommy, and I'll check em out. I've heard nothing but great things about them DRR's and have even seen them in action. They're bad little bikes. Local dealer up here has them for 2400 all hooked up and ready to rip. That's what my son will be on in the future, but I just wanted something a little smaller, yet a little more than his current powerwheel just to get him a better feel for the gas powered stuff.

if you want somting small and slow i would get the suzuki 50 very dependable and great for small hands i started broden on a suzuki around 3 years old there a little pricey but they hold a good resale value the drr you can raise the foot pegs and turn the throttle down real low but yor on the right track stair step yor child safty is the most important thing i would stay away from those fleamarket bikes they were made for one thing to make a quike buck i have 4 kids i would never let eny of them ride those bikes and buy your child a good helmet and a neck brace and a chest protector i think rocky mtn atv still has the evs neck braces for 89 dollors if you are interested i have a realy small chestprtector laying around here somware pay for shipping and its yours good luck tommy

If you have not found anything yet then add this to the look for list.

E-ton.They make 50/70/90 cc quads and you can pick them up used cheap. They run the same motors as the drr and apex quads only in a/c version and they are very reliable.

Have a mini 50cc that will fit within your budget. Built by
SMC /Kasea Blast, engine is same as Eton, Drr, etc.

Actually wound up getting a 96 lt80 for $400. Needs bushings somewhere, the motor vibrates sometimes and rocks over bumps and hits the frame. Other than that it's great. A little big, but detuned and later tuned, plus a remote killswitch and there's plenty of room to grow for many years to come. Just need to figure out where these bushings (assuming) are.
