Track sucked!!!

Very dangerous for quads. I bet there was atleast 15 to 20 riders crashed and hurt at this event.

I thought the track was sketchy as hell. Especially in practice. I also thought it was really one lined. I made 13 passes in the 1st moto of 4-stroke A, going from 17th to 5th and I never had such a hard time passing. It seemed like everywhere I made a pass it was really sketchy, and you had to make contact to pass in quite a few places. I got 13-4 in 450A for 9th overall, 4-4 for 3rd overall in college boy, 5-4 for 2nd overall in 4-stroke A, and 6-1 for 3rd overall in Open A.

Seems strange that the track sucked. I have never had the chance to ride there or even spectate, however being owned by a quad rider you would think the track would be paradise...

Its not owned by a quad rider, the ballance name comes from bill him being XC rider but its not his track. Its his family members and when it first opened up they had local races and a series but as the years have gone by they ONLY host 1 ATV national 1 Loretta lynns area qualifier for bikes. and 1 kentucky bluegrass series race. They have NO races put on of their own and it really sucks. Me myself im about 15mins up the road from the track and i like it to a point but lately the owner has been reworking the jumps and IMO he cannot run a dozer and build jumps right at all. The original track builders/crew hasnt done anything else since it started. It sucks hitting jumps that throw u like A** and build mainly dirtbike style jumps for quads.

Yea I watch the video from there and I have never seen a quad national track throwing machines so sideways.. Def. takes the fun out of riding. However, it shouldn't matter if it is owned by bill or his family, they should still know "better than most" how an atv track, especially a national should be. Is this not the same track featured in several of the Huevos videos back in the day that looked sick?
I think Doug Gust needs to open a public track now that he is retired...
