problems w air boot mounting up 2 big bore

hey guys i have esr 330 cylinder, 38 as, stock boot and air box but when i put it all together im having problems w the boot fitting right. its almost like its a little to long because its fits perfect around the carb and airbox but it caves in a little in the middle which will obviously restrict my air flow! wondering if anybody els has encountered this problem? or know an alternative without using the eliminator kit?

I had this problem on my R too.

I believe it has something to do with the combination of parts you are using.....CR250 Parts VS TRX250R parts.... ie. your Reed Cage

OR......

Intake Book from the Carb to the Cylinder..If stock style the lengths between the CR250R and the TRX 250R are different.

Are you using a Reed Valve Spacer?

If you are using a stock style Intake Boot, check to see if you have the longer TRX250R boot, or the Shorter CR250R Boot.

If using an aftermarket Reed Cage, such as a Boysen.... the intake is built into the Reed Cage but the CR250R Cage and the TRX 250R Cage still have different lengths...The angle from the cylinder to the Carb is also different between the CR and TRX an might contribute to this...

Notice the different lengths between the two boots below...

This is the only thing I can think of that might be causing your problem...

well i think u just solved my problem! i have v force 2s and originally had a spacer in it then took it out . this helped a little but still was to long. after looking at the pics u posted i def have the longer boot, so where can i find a cr boot?

thanks ksrrider that would b awesome of u considering esr wants $70 for one!!! but i ended up getting one from a buddy of mine that just happen to have it laying around earlier today.
